Yes, things are still a mess. I just realized this morning that my bank account, which I had killed yesterday because my checks were stolen along with everything else of potential value in my house, is also supposed to receive my next paycheck Friday.
Missing a paycheck will hurt, even if it’s only delayed by several days. So, I’m trying to figure that out.
On the plus side, the hotel I took refuge in last night has some nice photos next to the room numbers. Here’s mine, appropriately enough for a fan of old Jeeps.
I rather liked this one too.
Anyone care to wager a bet on whether I'll find my house has been broke into a 3rd time?

Hol eee crap. Damn. Missed your other post about getting robbed. That blows. Hope stuff gets better.
On a side note my problem of being at work with a broken sump pump at home and a rapidly filling crawlspace, doesn’t seem so bad.

Sorry to hear you’ve been having such a rough go these past few days. I hope it all somehow turns into a positive, as unlikely as that may seem at the moment.
Here’s hoping you can find a way to unload the place and move to an area that isn’t actively out to get you. Sounds like the hood has sent a message and I suspect they’ll keep delivering if you don’t make some drastic changes. Bars on the windows and commercial steel exterior doors with accompanying steel frames would probably be a good if not expensive start. With your aversion to risk, I suspect parking the jeep at a friends and sitting inside with a shotty is a non-starter? That’s allowed there, right? That would probably be cheaper and would let the neighbors know what’s what.
Best wishes buds. Hoping for the best for ya.

That whole situation blows. It’s the personal offense aspect that would really get me. Like, taking stuff out of my car just seems opportunistic but specifically targeting your house twice...damn. I’m sorry.

My neighbor used his to clear my driveway of snow the other day. Here he is when warmer. I’m still getting used to the ‘county’ type of lifestyle.
Good luck with the life stuff - that sucks. I believe most of my
neighbors are armed. Neighbor in front of me has about 10 AR’s. I would think it’s risky to rob houses around here but the criminals aren’t to good
at risk/reward calculations
.

My gravel (well, mostly dirt at this point) driveway still has a hole at the end where my neighbor once tried to be helpful after a big snowstorm. Brought a bobcat over and cleared about 9 square feet of driveway ( snow) , plus another few cubic feet of literal driveway.

heheh - yeah, my neighbor took a few square yards of my lawn with the snow.
I counted - 10% of my neighbors have Bobcats, more than that have farm tractors. I’m not only one not to have at least
one pickup truck.
I lived in large cities so this is new to me.

I live in a heavily urban area, so that was probably the only Bobcat for miles.
My cousin married a Kentucky sheriff, and they recently moved way out in the middle of nowhere. I’m familiar with that culture shock.
